Matthew Warnken is a dynamic leader in climate innovation, with a strong educational background and extensive professional experience. In 2010, Matthew founded Corporate Carbon, where he served as Managing Director before becoming Chair in 2020. Under his leadership, Corporate Carbon became a prominent force in Australian carbon abatement projects, pioneering efforts in carbon credit origination and climate asset development, ownership and operation.

Matthew's work extended to AgriProve, a specialist soil carbon solutions provider spun out from Corporate Carbon in 2018. AgriProve has achieved significant milestones, including issuing the first Australian soil carbon credits under the Emissions Reduction Fund, presenting their soil carbon program at the Australia Pavilion during COP26 in Glasgow, winner Most Innovative Company for Agriculture, Mining & Utilities and also the Best Service Innovation Award at the 2022 AFR BOSS Most Innovative Companies Awards, and winner in the 2024 AFR Sustainability Leaders Awards for Agriculture and Environment.

Matthew holds undergraduate degrees in Arts and Science from the Australian National University, a Masters of Engineering Research from the University of Sydney, and a Masters in Early Stage Commercialisation from the University of Adelaide. Recognized as one of Australia's 'Top 100 Green Power Players' in 2022, Matthew continues to drive the development of innovative climate solutions and carbon market developments.
