Louisa Kiely, B.Ag.Ec, Director of Carbon Management Services, has been a driving force in Australian carbon farming for nearly two decades. A trained agricultural economist and former woolgrower, she co- founded the early Carbon Coalition and originated the Carbon Farming Conference in 2007, stewarding eleven editions through 2023. Louisa helped bring Australia’s first soil-carbon credits to market, contributed to the first Soil Carbon Method, led national training, advocated for major research funding, and supported projects across 200,000+ hectares.

Today she leads CMS, turning policy and science into practical, profitable pathways for producers. Louisa is director of the 2025 National Carbon Farming Conference & Expo in Albury — a farmer-first event bringing farmers, science & markets together for clear, usable on-farm solutions.
