Adrian Lawrie

Director, Soil Carbon Systems | Founder, LawrieCo

Adrian Lawrie is a fifth-generation dryland cropping farmer from Port Pirie, South Australia, and the founder of LawrieCo—a company built from the paddock up to address declining soil health and productivity. Since 1998, Adrian has led the development of practical, field-tested biological fertiliser systems designed to rebuild Soil Organic Carbon (SOC) and improve nutrient cycling, water retention, and crop resilience.

Drawing on decades of on-farm trials and collaboration with growers, Adrian pioneered the Soil Carbon Regeneration System: a mineral-balanced, biologically active approach that integrates residue management, microbial stimulation, and precision inputs. LawrieCo clients began recording measurable SOC increases as early as 2003, with consistent gains in yield, input efficiency, and soil structure.

Adrian has also been a key advocate for carbon farming policy, contributing to the formation of Australia’s ACCU scheme. LawrieCo-supported farms were among the first in broadacre cropping regions to be awarded significant carbon credits per hectare, verified by Clean Energy Regulator soil testing protocols.

Today, Adrian speaks directly to farmers about the agronomic, economic, and environmental benefits of building carbon-rich soils—offering a clear, profitable pathway to regenerative cropping systems that work in real-world conditions.
