Ian Warren is the Director of the Information Systems Design Section within the Nature Finance and Market Policy Branch of the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water. He provides strategic leadership in designing and delivering national data and geospatial systems that underpin Australia's Nature Repair Market.

Ian oversees the Platform for Land and Nature Repair (PLANR - planr.gov.au), the Innovative Biodiversity Monitoring Grant, and the Agricultural Biodiversity Stewardship Pilots, which test integrated biodiversity and carbon outcomes with landholders. He also leads development of the Ecological Knowledge System (EKS) in partnership with CSIRO, providing the scientific foundation for forecasting ecological change and restoration outcomes to inform the Nature Repair Market.
